GVTC Singles Tennis League

Day and time of play are your choice, just make a date with any of your 7 opponents within 8 weeks, and reserve the court by calling our pro, Evgeny at 609-502-0549.

There are 6 singles leagues, women and men play in the same league at their level:

Top level 5.0+ (experienced tournament players),
Harriers 4.5 A, and Panthers 4.5 B (players command all strokes and can play strategic tennis),
Tigers 4.0 (players capable of all elements of match play with good command of essential strokes and some weaker strokes).
Cheetahs 3.5 (players can play a match, keep the ball in play, and have some offensive shots).

Indoors: 4 Indoor Har-Tru courts Oct 15 - April 15: Playing time is 1 1/2 hours, cost is $25 for winter members and $30 for non-winter members, payable to pro at time of play. Green Valley members and shareholders: $ 20, also reduced membership.

Outdoors: 9 Har-Tru courts April 15 to Oct 15. Time is unlimited but subject to court reservation rules. Cost is free to club members (see application form on this site). Non-members pay $ 25 per match.

Players commit to playing at least one round of 7 games in 8 weeks.

Players get ranked based on points. The two top players advance to next higher league, two lowest to next easier league. Awards and prizes will be presented based on best in league and most points in all leagues.

10 points for win, 5 for tie, 3 for loss (but playing), 5 points for losing in 3 sets (finished or not). Regular scoring.
